It’s amazing how far Camcorder technology has come and develop from its humble beginnings. video cameras, like all forms of technology and gadgets and widgets that should be improved, user friendly and innovative over the years. This is not new, and there is no reason to promote the video camera on a pedestal higher than any other thing to excel. But if history, timing and growth of the video camera is quality, it is remarkable to see where they come from, where they were and where they may in the future.
Camcorder emerged as a big, bulky and cumbersome devices that required strips or rolls of recording and storing films. It was either uncomfortable on the shoulder, or standing on tripods or legs. Their movement and portability has been severely hampered and limited by son, cords or cables. Only specialized technicians and trained individuals could operate them. And perhaps best of all, video cameras could be collected, transmitted and reproduced in black and white.
Fast Forward (another innovation in the video camcorder) to the digital age, and we are currently inundated brand by brand digital camcorder. Living in the class of some higher price, with all the necessary Bells & Whistles and functions. While some are simple and inexpensive.
