Importing a Canon VIXIA HF R10 in iMovie (STDs)?

I got it to work, but I have no idea how. I think the import screen appears automatically. I can not iMovie to import these files from my Camera. Any help?

Oh, and the HV40 is better than the HV30? I look forward to an HD Camcorder. I have only the best for this, what I want to read the VIXIA HV30 or HF200. But I have no idea what is the difference between the two. . . could someone explain, if you all?

How can I get my mac to read my Canon Vixia HF R10?

I have a Canon VIXIA HF R10 and I am running a MacBook Pro version 10 to 6 4 2 a 53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. Although I Pixela Image browser and applications that have the Camera (I also came with iMovie 8 and can not read, looking at the Camera, or you have it installed), I can not find a position the Camera. I think my computer is not reading the camera or is aware that he is there, even if it is turned on and properly connected to the computer. Why is he not read what the camera can I do?

I plugged the Canon VIXIA HV30 to the computer with a FireWire port, but if I’m in play mode, switch it on and try Windows Movie Maker (I put the DV-down menu on the HDMI output import) or Adobe Premiere Elements – both programs say they can not find video device angeschlossen.Ich imported from my Camera once before and change the menu setting to HDMI DV had . But he was then working, and I do not think I’ve changed all the settings. So I do not know why it does not work jetzt.Nun it works, if I have nothing else.
