Mar 8, 2010 Digital Cameras
The Casio Exilim EX-Z200 is a pocket sized digital Camera with a lens wide-angle 4x. It has 10 megapixels and comes in different colors (black, red, silver).
Why buy the Casio Exilim EX-Z200?
The positive points of this device are wide-screen movies, a wide selection of scene modes and some extra features like the pleasure of a special mode to upload videos to YouTube. You should also easy on the Exilim EX-Z200.

Casio Exilim EX-Z200
Outdoor 1 (Medium Zoom)
I love the colors of this photo. They help produce a plan for natural appearance. Emphasis is situated in the center of the recording, but it is striking that these are on the edge of the falls. There are also some details lost in the lightest areas of the photo.
Outdoor 2 (no zoom)
In my second test shot, there are a number of apparent similarities shot my first test. The colors have a natural look to them, but the Exilim EX-Z200 will focus hard on the edges of the recording. There is an added difficulty is to show detail parts farthest from the stage.
Outdoor 3 (Maximum Zoom)
With the zoom fully extended gravity is a real problem. Part of the image are so sweet, it’s probably a problem even in smaller trials. Again it is the central region to cause the most concern.
Outdoor 4 (Building)
This picture confirms my general concerns about focus. Although there are areas in the center, pleasantly spicy, very far from the center is another story. There is also a hint of purple fringing was present for Part of windows.
portrait outdoors with the theme, much closer to the Exilim EX-Z200 offers a dramatically improved picture. There is a point of view much more accurate picture. Again, I like the colors produced by the Camera, and they help to create an image with a feeling of warmth.
Indoor Portrait with Flash Moving indoors and with flash produced another good result. The light is even and is fine enough to illuminate the scene without washing details. This leads to much color to skin tones.
Portrait without flash indoors
The Exilim EX-Z200 also not good if no flash is used. Once the colors have a natural look to them. There is a small amount of noise in the picture and this will stop from the picture is clear. It is still a decent job.
Colors How do you say may, I think the colors work well in my tests. Although color is a matter of personal taste I feel the strength and balance of colors mean that they are not overly dominate the scenes.
Macromedia One drawback of the Exilim EX-Z200, the camera must be at least 15 cm from the subjects before they can focus . Why is my test photo was cropped for display. The image itself is bright enough and sharp enough, but you will not be able to produce near real-ups with this camera.
ISO 400 and ISO 1600
noise begins to show the date the ISO reaches 400th It is also interesting to note that the corners are darker than the still pictures. At ISO 1600 there is a high level of noise. Fortunately, you are not likely to want to increase ISO very often.
Total Well, a bit of a mixed bag really. Overall I’m happy with the portraits where the camera can be closer. If the subject is further away, the Exilim EX-Z200 struggles with focus.
Shutter Lag
After recently the Casio Exilim EX-Z100, I expected that the time period Shutter, more or less identical. For some reason I found the Exilim EX-Z200 is slower than the Exilim EX-Z100. The times were recorded 0 22 seconds for a single photo (Quick Time), 21 52 n seconds for five (so fast), 1 62 seconds for a single photo with flash (slower than standard) and 24 64 seconds for five photos flash (on the slow side).
To turn the camera and take a took the photo 3 03 seconds. This is pretty standard.
You can compare this camera with other models by taking a look at Shutter Lag Comparison Table .
Style: Clean and neat, without any frills. It is a compact type, rectangular with rounded corners. The Exilim EX-Z200 is available in black, red and silver.
Dimensions: 93e 0 x 55 0 x 22 7mm
Weight:
119g Batteries: Lithium ion (NP-40). Both a Battery and Charger are supplied as standard. Casio estimate, it should be able to provide up to 400 shots before the Battery must be recharged.
Memory: Casio has built 11 7 MB of storage in the Exilim EX-Z200. Just here for 5 or 6 photos. You can expand the storage capacity through the purchase of either SD or SDHC cards.
usability Note: Very Good. Casio Digital Cameras tend to score well when it comes to ease of use. I like the list of key features that you see on the right side of the LCD. Not only reminder of the current configuration, it also makes it easy to change.
Points I like:
Easy to use – a film in cinemascope
where it could improve:
photos could be sharper – build quality could go one or two steps
Alternatives
If you opt for a similar device with a wide angle lens and a little more you try to overall quality of the Panasonic DMC FX35.
case:
When it comes to picture quality the Casio Exilim EX-Z200 is a retreat from the best picture of pocket. Although there are some positive points, the camera I think you can get better value elsewhere.
